To me, fashion is a comfortable aesthetic state enabling the identification of an individual despite intersectionality. It transcends borders and goes beyond race and gender.

27.5”x27.5”x16”The sculpture was created to keep in memory of someone who was a big influence to me, that has experienced cyberbullying and suicided several years ago. The white rose symbolizes remembrance and a life that is destroyed by thorns and words of others, which is printed on the petals. In a culture and society with frequent use of social media, people tend to forget the weight of their words and I think it is a need to raise social awareness on how your words could possibly turn into a weapon.
