FABRICS:  MESH /CHIFFON /LEATHER /STRETCH COTTON SATEEN An upcycling garment made with old clothes where it explores the profound intersection between beauty and death, encapsulating the contradictory nature of marriage and the loss of freedom. By metaphorically portraying a bride's red funeral, the design embodies an aesthetic that intertwines elements of both allure and darkness.

Inspired by the concept of a spooky bride, I delve into the complexities of emotions associated with weddings. By incorporating the colours black, red, and white, I evoke a sense of mystery and contrast that symbolizes the delicate balance between life and death; and the contradiction between the beauty of the ceremony and the potential loss of personal freedom. Through this juxtaposition, I aim to challenge the notions of marriage as a purely joyous occasion, and instead, delve into the deeper implications of commitment and sacrifice. I seek to reflect on the complexities inherent in the institution of marriage and the sacrifices often made in the pursuit of love and commitment.
