Design Brief:
It is necessary to conclude the ergonomics of an art easel design based on human scales. It ensures ease of use and allows the user to move comfortably in the space based on your physical requirements and habits. I aim to produce a product that helps artist work in a more comfortable position and enhance efficiency when painting.
The user group would be an age range from 14 - 20 that uses an art easel to paint indoors for a continuous long period of time, not appealing to any specific gender. According to my normal habits and the questionnaire, the easel has to be adjustable in both the angel and height for the user to comfortably paint while sitting, kneeling or standing.
From my research it is clear that an art easel is essential to hold the painting while the artist is working, therefore I am focusing on a particular market segment, i.e. artist / art students that paints with an art easel for a long period of time.
