To me, fashion is a comfortable aesthetic state enabling the identification of an individual despite intersectionality. It transcends borders and goes beyond race and gender.

18 Dress Codes
DOC 12/2020

GARMENTS:   1 /SIZE 8
FABRICS: COTTON BROADCLOTH /EMBROIDERY THREADS
Through the recreation of my female school uniform to mimic a dragon rope, I created an embroidery piece that serves as a poignant juxtaposition, highlighting the restrictive nature of both the present-day uniform and the historically significant dragon rope, which remains as an evidence of patriarchal society. By emphasizing this irony, I aim to shed light on the enduring impact of dress codes in reinforcing gender roles from the past to the present. With a focus on dismantling stereotypes and raising awareness about the inequalities faced by females, the piece stands against the constraints imposed by a patriarchal society.
